Recipe Ingredients

  • 2 cup, pieces or slices Mushrooms, white, raw
  • 1 onion Onions, sweet, raw
  • 2 cup, diced Cheese, swiss
  • 8 slice, regular Bread, Rye
  • 4 tablespoon Salad Dressing, 1000 island Dressing, reduced fat
  • 1 tbsp Butter, with salt

1. Sautee onions and mushrooms in a pan over medium heat until soft and translucent, about five minutes. 2. Toast bread in toaster. Meanwhile heat skillet to medium high heat and melt butter. 3. Spread dressing on each slice of bread. 4. Place one slice swiss cheese, then spoon in onion and mushroom mixture, then another slice of swiss cheese. 5. Grill about one minute per side, flipping once, until cheese is melted.
