A simple Red, White and Blue Pasta Salad recipe for the 4th of July!
Recipe Ingredients
16
oz Rotini Pasta
16
oz Fresh Mozzarella, cubed
6
oz Pepperoni, sliced
3
oz Black Olives, sliced
15 1/2
oz Garbanzo Beans
1
large Red Bell Pepper, seeded, and diced
14
oz Creamy Italian Dressing
1
container Red Food Coloring
1
container Blue Food Coloring
2
bag Gallon Ziplock Bag
Instructions
1. Boil pasta until al dente, about 12 minutes. Rinse under cold water. Divide pasta in half and place half in each ziplock bag. Add about 30 drops of red food coloring to one bag and 30 drops of blue to the other. Mix until pasta is colored. Lay pasta out on a baking sheet with paper towels and let dry about 15 minutes. This will help keep the colors from mixing together.
2. Place pasta in a large serving bowl. Add in the remaining ingredients. Stir in salad dressing and mix well until combined. Cover and refrigerate at least an hour before serving to let flavors marry together.
