Sweet and Sour Chicken over Rice

This recipe works great for chicken or pork- you choose!

Recipe Ingredients

  • 4 large Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • 3/4 cups Brown Sugar
  • 3/4 cups Ketchup
  • 1 large Lemon, sliced
  • 1 large Onion, sliced (optional)
  • 3/4 cups White Distilled Vinegar


  1. Place chicken in single layer in sprayed baking dish.
  2. Place one slice lemon and one slice onion on each piece.
  3. Combine ketchup, brown sugar, and vinegar.
  4. Pour over meat. Bake at 350 for 45-60 minutes. Serve over rice.

Alternate method: Double sauce recipe and cook on low in slow cooker about 5-6 hours. Add quick cooking rice last 30 minutes.
