This recipe is meant to be served buffet style. Toppings can vary depending on taste. I listed tomatoes and cheddar cheese here but you could also use shredded lettuce, chopped black olives, etc.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 2 cups Canola Oil
  • 3 cups Cheddar Cheese, shredded
  • 1 can Chili
  • 8 ounces Frozen Bread Dough, thawed
  • 3 large Tomatoes, diced

  1. Heat oil in a medium size skillet to 360 degrees. Divide thawed dough into 12 pieces. Stretch dough and flatten with palm of hand. Carefully place dough in oil.
  2. When dough is light brown on bottom, turn over with tongs. Place the fried bread on paper towels to drain off excess oil.
  3. Transfer to a 200 degree oven to keep warm while you fry the remaining dough.
  4. Heat chili in separate sauce pan.
  5. To serve, place toppings in separate bowls and let people fill their bread with what they want. Enjoy!
