A delicious Lemon Basil Mocktail

Recipe Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 2 cups Water
  • 3 cups Fresh Basil Leaves
  • 1 pound Crushed Ice
  • 1 bottle Club Soda, 1 liter
  • 1 large Lemon


  1. In a small saucepan bring sugar and water to a boil. Cook and stir until sugar is dissolved.
  2. Place half of the basil in a small bowl and smash with a wooden spoon until basil is aromatic.
  3. Stir the basil into the sugar mixture until a syrup forms. Remove from heat and let cool completely.
  4. Strain and then refrigerate until cold. Place two cups crushed ice and remaining basil in a pitcher.
  5. Using wooden spoon press basil against ice until the basil is aromatic. Stir in basil syrup and soda.
  6. Serve over crushed ice in tall glasses.
  7. Squeeze lemon wedges into drink.
