A simple Fall Salad recipe!

Recipe Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon Butter, unsalted
  • 2 tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Almonds, slivered
  • 1 small Shallot
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon Mustard
  • 2 teaspoon Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1/4 cup, Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2 teaspoon Maple Syrup
  • 6 cups Mixed Greens
  • 1/4 cup, Parmesan, shaved
  • 1/2 cup Pomegranate Seeds
  • 2 small Red Pears


1. Prepare candied almonds by melting butter in skillet over medium heat. Toss in almonds and brown sugar. Toss to coat evenly, about 1 minute. Transfer to a cookie sheet lined with waxed paper. 2. To make dressing combine vinegar and mustard in a small mixing bowl. Finely mince the shallot and add to mixture in bowl. Slowly pour in olive oil while whisking. Add maple syrup and salt and pepper to taste. Mix well. 3. Place salad greens in serving bowl and top with thinly sliced pears, pomegranate seeds and almonds. Toss with dressing then top with shaved parmesan.
