Crispy Fish Tacos

These sweet and fresh tacos will make you think you are on vacation!

Recipe Ingredients

  • 1 cup Flour, all purpose
  • 2 tablespoons Corn Starch
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 small Limes
  • 1/2 cup Plain Yogurt
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/2 teaspoon Oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dill
  • 1 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
  • 3 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 pound Cod Fillet, cut into bite size pieces
  • 1 package Corn Tortillas
  • 1/2 medium Cabbage, shredded


1. To make batter: Combine flour, cornstarch, baking powder and salt. Blend in egg and juice from one lime. Batter will be a little lumpy.

2. To make white sauce: In a medium size bowl mix mayo and yogurt. Stir in lime juice from one lime. Mix in cumin, dill, cayenne and oregano.

3. To make salsa: Combine diced mango, cilantro, tomato and onion.

4. Heat olive oil in medium size pan on stove top. Dust fish pieces with flour. Dip into batter then place in oil for about four minutes, turning if needed until crisp and golden brown.

5. Serve by placing fish inside tortilla and top with shredded cabbage, white sauce and salsa.
