A simple and delicious bread that serves as a great side to most meat or vegetarian dishes.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Butter, or margarine, room temp
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 cup Yellow Cornmeal
  • 1 1/2 cups Flour
  • 2 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 1/2 cup Milk


1. Cream the butter, sugar and eggs. 2. In a separate bowl blend cornmeal, flour, baking powder and salt. 3. Combine creamed mixture, dry mixture and milk and blend well. 4. Bake in greased 8x8 ban at 375 for 35-40 minutes.
