Classic BBQ Ribs

The combination of this homemade BBQ sauce and the quick cooking method makes this the perfect main dish for a weeknight or special occasion.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 2 tablespoons Water
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Tomato Paste
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon Liquid Smoke
  • 1 teaspoon Dry Mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper


1. Rub rack of ribs with salt and pepper. Wrap in aluminum foil and bake in 400 degree oven for about one hour, until meat is tender. 2. Remove meat from foil and baste with BBQ sauce (recipe follows). Place ribs on a hot grill for about 30 minutes until seared and crispy. To make BBQ sauce: 1. Blend onion and water into a puree. 2. Heat olive oil in a sauce pan over medium heat. 3. When oil is warm, pour in onion puree. Simmer until slightly browned. Add remaining ingredients. Mix thoroughly and simmer for about 15 minutes.
