A simple Baked Ziti recipe for your next family dinner!

Recipe Ingredients

  • 14 ounces Ziti Pasta
  • 2 cup Tomato Sauce, jarred is used here
  • 1/2 cup Carrot, pureed
  • 1 cup Ricotta Cheese, part skim milk
  • 1/2 cup Cauliflower, pureed
  • 2 large Egg Whites
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese, part skim milk, shredded
  • 2 cloves Garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan, grated


1. Heat oven to 450. Cook the pasta a few minutes less than package says (so it won't get overcooked when you stick it in oven)

2. Mix the tomato sauce and carrot puree well.

3. In separate bowl combine ricotta, cauliflower puree, egg whites, 1/2 cup of the mozzarella, garlic and pepper.

4. Spread about half the tomato sauce onto bottom of casserole dish. Add a layer with half the pasta. Spoon the ricotta over the top and cover with rest of pasta and remaining sauce.

5. Sprinkle with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.

6. Bake for about 30 minutes. *or cover with foil and refrigerate to bake the next day*
