Apple Cider Beef Stew

This is a yummy twist on a traditional beef stew! In their natural form, potatoes are gluten free. If you have a gluten free diet, make sure to check the label if you choose to use canned potatoes. 

Recipe Ingredients

  • 2 cups Apple Cider
  • 2 large Apples, chopped
  • 6 large Carrots, sliced thin
  • 1/2 cup Onion, chopped
  • 6 large Potatoes, medium sized, sliced thin
  • 2 teaspoons Salt
  • 2 pounds Stew Meat


  1. Place apples and all vegetables in crock pot.
  2. Add meat lightly sprinkled with salt.
  3. Pour cider over meat.
  4. Cook on low about 8 hours.
  5. Use flour to thicken sauce if needed.
