Category: Salad A classic salad that is a real crowd pleaser! It needs to be prepared at least 6 hours before eating, so this is a great recipe for days when you don't have a lot of time to make dinner in the evening.
2 cups chicken 2 tablespoons slivered almonds 4 cups green cabbage 1 bunch green onions 1 package chicken flavored ramen noodles 2 cans mandarin oranges 1 tablespoon sugar 1/4 cup Salad oil 1/2 teaspoon pepper 3 tablespoons rice vinegar
Cook chicken and cut into bite-sized pieces. Pour hot water over ramen noodles to soften; drain. Break noodles. Shred cabbage. Toast sesame seeds. Combine cabbage, chicken, slivered almonds, green onions, sesame seeds, noodles, and mandarin oranges. Lightly toss. In a separate container, mix sugar, salad oil, pepper, and rice vinegar. MIx well and add to salad. Prepare at least 6 hours before serving.
